Future
by isabel
It was a warm afternoon in June. I was parked, impatiently waiting for the arrival of the man I was already falling in love with. He pulled into the parking lot; my mouth just dropped, he was so good-looking. I was so nervous, my hands became sweaty . “I want him to like me,” I said to myself. He parked the car and as he walked towards my car and my face lit up as he smiled at me. I was so nervous. He leaned over to kiss me, but I turn away. Maybe I was afraid. I didn’t want him thinking wrong of me. I asked him to get into my car so I could take him somewhere we could talk. I drove around and we had small talk. It was more looking at each other.
We arrived at the park and began walking around the lake, just talking about ourselves, getting to know each other. He was everything I thought he would be and more. We found a quiet spot under an oak tree. We sat and began expressing our feeling to each other. He leaned over to kiss me, but once again, I turn away. Why was I afraid of him? We spoke a bit more and then, I just couldn’t help it, I leaned over and kissed him. It was the softest kiss I have ever experienced. Those lips, I was in love. It sounds crazy, but it’s true. I had never been so swept off my feet by a single kiss.
Walking back to the car, I asked when we could get together again. He told me that he would be off of work on Monday, so I ask if maybe we could do something. His response was so enthusiastic. “Yes, let’s do something, what ever you like,” he said. I told him I would like to go somewhere were we could be alone and talk, just the two of us.
I drove him back to his car and he kissed me again, good-bye. What a kiss, and now, with his hand on my back holding me tight, it felt so right. I can’t wait to be with him again, so I told him I would see him on Monday.
I really have to say that I want to stop my past and begin my future, with this man.
