The phone call that change my life |
by Leeanna |
I met Jim durring my Jr. year in high school through a mutual friend. I didn't really get to know him very well because I would only see him on weekends and that was with a large group of friends. But then his best friend stared to date my best friend. Now I have to tell you the truth here my friend and I would joke about me dating jim and would quite literaly roll on the floor with laughter. There could not be two different people than Jim and me. A few years passed and we all left for college (by this time my friend had broken up with his friend) but we all still got together on the weekends since we went to school fairly close to home. Well wouldn't you know it the one thing that no one ever thought would happen did. Jim and I feel madly in love. We spent hours talking I wrote him letter after letter from school. I came home every weekend to see him and spent every waking moment thinking only of him. I knew that this was the guy that I was going to spend the rest of my life with. That New Year's Eve Jim had a party and at the stroke of midnight he gave my a kiss and I was in utter bliss. I got back to school the next day to find a letter in my mailbox from Jim. I was all smiles as I opened it I was always getting little love notes from him I thought it was sweet of him to send me one while I was still at home (the postdate was before Dec 31st). Well, yep you guessed it, it was a dear Jane letter. (Complete with a Guns n Roses quote) Needless to say I was chrushed. I called him up but never got a good explination just that I was the best thing that had ever happened to him and that he was sorry.
Well as they say time heals all wounds whatever! Three years went by and I still had not found anyone that I cared for as much as I did Jim. Then one day out of the blue the phone rang. I answered it and about gave birth (just an experssion)when Jim said hello. He said he was having a party and wanted to know if I wanted to come. I said yes. We spent the entire night together talking and then aranged to spend the next day together. This last Valentines Day was our 6th Wedding anniversary. I guess the lesson here is just because the big one got away doesn't mean that he won't get caught on your hook again. |
