All On The Line
by Unseen Exposure
How do I begin writing this when everyone else has said it before
Thousands of similar rhymes to explain how many others closed the door
But this has got to be different, even though the message is the same
And no I won't point any fingers, I know we're both to blame

I know that he's important, but I thought that I was too
"Always and Forever" You remember that promise, don't you?
Yes, he's a good guy, I know, and I do agree
And I know that distance is hard and makes it uneasy

But if you'd look around you'd see you're losing me
I've tried and tried to tell you, but then you say I'm an enemy
I'm not trying to steal your happiness from your hands
I just want you to know it hurts, I want you to understand

I've needed you, but let you walk away from me for him
And you never ever thanked me for all those times that I gave in
You're my best friend, and you hold a special place in my heart
But your relationship with him is breaking us apart

It doesn't have to be that way, and it didn't start off this way
But I've gotten tired of asking you please to stay
I've tried to put myself in your shoes, tried to walk a mile
But it just didn't make sense to me, not once in all the while

I know you've been waiting for love for oh so long
Searching to find a loving embrace where you belong
I don't want to rip that from you, I just want you to see
That somewhere within your life, there's got to be a place for me

I never thought I'd say this, but I miss you, please don't go
I'm fading, our friendship's breaking, but you're too busy to know
Everything isn't okay, my life is breaking right in two
I need someone to talk to, and I'd love to turn to you

Please remember me, please, before it becomes too late
You're my best friend, and I miss you, what we used to have was great
One night when you fall asleep, I hope you look around
And wonder why I'm not there, and why I can't be found

I hope that you will realize what you've done has been so wrong
How you haven't been there for me in oh so long
I hope it brings tears to your eyes, the way it has to mine
And I hope you realize soon, because our friendship's on the line...
