i love you, though i don't know why |
by jeran |
I love you, though I don’t know why.
But I know that without you, I will die.
I’ll always remember your birthday.
How can I ever forget.
When your mom told you to go to bed,
But with me you chose to stay.
The night you held my hand,
The way you looked at me,
The memory is more than I can stand.
You’ve shown that you don’t know me,
That you never did understand.
The way I feel about you,
Let go like so much sand.
You’re all I can think about.
I can’t get you off my mind.
My love for you will I never doubt,
Even though you left me behind.
I check daily for your letter,
The one you said may take years.
My heart goes through a shredder,
Thinking of you brings tears.
My heart aches for you,
My head burns.
Over every thought of you,
My stomach turns.
I love you so much, can’t you see?
I want you happy but I hate to see it without me.
You’ve broken my heart, and still I wait for you,
Even from the start, I was always straight with you.
You’ve hurt me more than you can ever know,
As much as I want to be away from you, I can’t let you go.
You’ve shattered my heart, you’ve broken my world.
You’ve taken my life, and left me unfurled.
I hope you’re happy, I hope you’re satisfied.
Please don’t think of me, I know you lied.
I’ll give you your space like you asked,
Though my feelings for you are painfully and irreversibly unmasked.
