Breaking Away
by J. Rossetti
With the lost integrity of my hearts desire,

Having only painfull thoughts of the hopless insight to fuel the fire,

Vast shadows of fear start gapping from beneath the locked door,

But despite everything-now I'm positive- I want her even more.

The locked doors handle starts to jiggle with ease,

As the darkness surounds the only light to the keys,

The flames start to grow weary and dim,

As the last of the light is ingulped by the hatred within.

Only in total darkness was it ever clear,

the intentions of love over-powerd by fear,

Now it's to late-even to fall,

Even though locked door was never locked at all.
