A promise |
by Allison Aqua |
She should have left him alone with his two words,
She should not have emailed him over and over
because She heard
that he'll think she's not sober.
Why can't she leave him be?
Why can't he see reality?
Why does she press her luck?
Why does she feel stuck?
She is tired
and still a little wired
Still a little fired up
while she's sipping coffee in a cup.
she wishes he was more then a friend.
Maybe he will be in the end.
So why can't she just take it?
make it all alone?
and why can't he just fake it?
And pretend his love is known.
When she calls him on the phone,
there's no dial-tone
He doesn't answer He's not there
but she can hear him through the air.
"Life's not fair, life's not fair", she cries
there's no need to wonder why.
it's a fact
Don't ever forget that
not everyone gets what they want
When she thinks about how he haunts
her mind
she knows life is unkind.
But as long as he's alive and he's around
she won't forget her love she found'
she lost like yesterday
In her heart, he has a place to stay.
her love for him will never go away.
It hurts this price to pay.
But he's so worth the hurt, the pain
because she knows in the end he can't refrain.
He desires her and she's so aware
but there are many other cares
Currently, Maybe she's last on his list.
But when he sees her once again, she can promise this:
she will never "rat" him out
scream or shout for no reason
she will love him through the seasons
she will never give him doubt
and always be nice when they are out.
Even if she's mad.
she'll never turn her back on him especially in the rain
She'll never hurt him even if he's caused her pain. |
