Without Her
by Alex Marlatt
Without her I cannot live
She is my love in life
Her heart she wont give
So I long the dreaded knife

I cant stand the pain
An art painted in blood
As my veins I drain
My heart in sorrows flood

I cant sleep at night
I only hear her voice
No end to the plight
I can no longer rejoice

Her beauty haunts me
My lovely friend
She is all I see
My untimely end

She smiles this way
Unaware of my distress
I face every day
My sorrow I suppress
