											| My Paradise |
											| by Princess Love |
											Another night, another fight
Series of arguments till daylight
Tears shed, cruelty spoken
Expectations reminded, promises broken
It's nothing new; there is nothing to be surprised
It's just another day in my paradise

Your words hurt my feelings
Your anger weakens my soul
They tear me up in pieces
While I pretend to be whole
Why do you do this to me
I'm torn again, can't you see
You crush me for no reason at all
Somehow I manage to rise
Then again you make me fall
It's nothing new; there is nothing to be surprised
It's just another day in my paradise

I cry out for help but no one cares
I need a shoulder but no one is there
Where did I go wrong I wonder sometimes
Was loving you so much my only crime
I try to be together, but I break down and cry
Why do you keep breaking this broken heart of mine
My feelings and my tears never matter to you
You only do what you want to do
It's nothing new; there is nothing to be surprised
It's just another day in my paradise

Every time I think about setting myself free
I think about the unknown that is waiting for me
I picture my feet stepping outside of the door
And I think there has to be something more
A whole new world waits for me
To give me a chance to be all I can be
My bags are packed I'm ready to go
Leaving behind what I once longed for
It's nothing new; there is nothing to be surprised
It's just another day in my paradise

Just as I set my mind this is what I'll do
My innocent heart just runs back to you
How can I leave, it's the only world I've known
Though it's not my dream world,
But it is what I call my own
I cant set myself free even if I tried
I'm a prisoner in my own paradise
