THE UNCLAIMED LOVE
by SHAMBALA NTANJANA
THE UNCLAIMED LOVE

Take me to that first cold knight you stole my heart, hiding my shyness I sat down beside you
With your hands feeling the warmth contained inside the pockets of your navy jacket,
You turned towards me showing me your beautiful smile...

The look in your eyes I captured in my heart, from that day on I knew I never wanted to depart,
I felt your warmth till the sun came up, if only I had a chance I would have won the race against time...

How do I show the truthfulness of the indoor of my heart, I can only believe that feelings so beautiful can be transferred through the arrow of love, but for now I continue to love in secrete and the truth remains still untold...

Feeling this way each day leads to daunting wonder, of what will happen the day you claim your rightful place in my arms and heart and finally allow us to be together in perpetuity…

This unclaimed love is so wrong, for love is never meant to be concealed, whilst knowing in our hearts we do belong. At least we have our friendship as a source of comfort that we can at least have each others loving touch…

As our time ends and we must go, home to our appreciated ones, both not knowing what the future holds. The secret love remains stuck inside, and the only comfort is the due tomorrow. As a fallen coward, I close my eyes and kiss your lips and stretch my arms to give you a hug, as I pull out I start the count down of the hours and days that I WILL SEE MY SECRETE LOVE AGAIN….
