Kiss the Sky
by Jay Williams
There’s a river that flows through each one’s heart,
A verdant motion of patience and joy.
There’s a vast blue sky which has no limits,
Reflected through the eyes of a girl and a boy.
There’s an inferno that’s heat can burn through iron,
Melts it down to bubble and boil.
There’s a meadow in a hidden forest,
A meadow rich with new life and fruitful soil.
My God has blessed me with a guiding light,
And a map to this precious place.
I have planted my Love and watch it grow,
Rejuvenated by her lustrous face.
I float on a cloud, held in her heart,
I swim in refreshing streams.
I glow from the flame that burns within,
Captured by what this all could mean.
It’s all become a matter of time,
A fraction in His eye.
Till plan blossoms into a beautiful flower,
And our petals open to kiss the sky.
