Awakening |
by Crissy |
Frozen inside like a dead corpse
Drowning in the darkness of a lonely heart
Numb to the sense, deaf to the pleas
Life was empty like a dead rat to fleas
In the bottle the answers lied
The illusion of a love in a stranger's eyes
Another shot, another drink
All were lies, love was naught but lust reside
A distant love that endured through time
That led me to an angel of some kind
An act of kindness that awaken me
To see through a love that was more a fantasy
A touch of power of sheer delight
A frozen corpse came to life
The darkness depleting soon came to light
The angel of mine saved my life!
The numbing senses turned to fire
An emotion of true desire
That burned through the icy surface
As a dying heart yearned to hope
To love the angel with no fear
Ready to strike down the monsters yet domineered
To live in all the splendor of a love story
Yet to be determined in it's present glory.
