The man I loved
For showing me love
For helping me grow up
For giving me everything he had
For helping me understand who I was
For being there for me no matter what
He was my father
The man I loved
He was a man with honor
His gentle voice was like a sea
In the a peaceful harbor
He was a man with believes
His strong arm was like a wall
Protecting us from the thieves
The man I loved
For showing me the way
For helping me become who I am
For giving me the chance to be
For helping me dream my dreams
For loving me, unconditionally
He was my father
The man I loved
I lost him when I was twenty
He did not die
I was the one who said good-bye
Looking for a better life, I flew
Through the oceans to the other side
But I remember, I will never forget
The last moment we had
We shook hands, he hugged me
The silence was just SO LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!
We both knew
This is the last time
To see each others eyes
Five years later he died. I never had a chance to tell him
How I felt about him.
I wish he could see my tears now
I wish he could see the words I am writing now
Oh, I wish you were here!!!!!!!!!!!
