Stolen
by Jason Pierce
So, Love...so stolen away
in the hot of the shower
lest you forget our nakedness
So, Love...so you and I
left to ourselves this hour
bottle-wine buzz we feel

So clean...so new
warming my back so long, so cold
Taken to a summer storm
at the beginning of life

Pressing against me
Wet skin so angled
in such a small, dripping space
You tell me
The first time
You loved me
