Mixed Emoions |
by Arthricia Marie McCluskey |
The way I feel I can’t explain
Of joy happiness and o so much more pain
A day don’t pass when I don’t cry
I replay the night when we said our final good bye
It started off with something like this
A sweet sudden kiss placed upon my soft little lips
A hug so strong I wanted it to last all night long
The look in your eyes left me memorized
So shinny and bright reminded me of the day when it was love at first sight
What a fool I am thinking this of him
There I go again daydreaming of us together all alone flying free on a long lost island in Hawaii
Remember when I told you my secret fantasy
Or was it just the moment so you can get what you wanted from me?
Love is what I wanted but I see it was never found
You were my guy my king you wore my crown
But only thing you did was make me frown
Let me not forget of the little moments we shared on the phone in the park at the movies in the dark
Flash backs are over now back to reality this feeling I have for you I wanted it to last for eternity
We had so many plans we wanted to do but now the reality is none of that was true
Like my mother always said actions speak louder than words
And this I knew because your actions were heard
A moment’s sensation of sweet desire
Set my mind to sparks and my heart on fire
Heartbroken again
Torn within
What am I to do?
Normally my lost love would have call’n on you
But now its time to call it an end
I have to move on to a new love and brand new best friend
Like this poem have written of my feelings for this Man this is my devotion of my mixed emotions
