Tell Me
by beverly newcomb

Treat me like a woman,
treat me right.
Let me cry on your shoulder,
hold me through the night.
Make me feel like I’m wanted
don’t walk away.
Don’t leave me speechless
Let me have something to say
Don’t look into my eyes and
Break my heart
Don’t tell me you love me
And turn around and let us fall apart
Say that you need me.
Say that you care.
Say that when I need you,
you’ll always be there.
Don’t let me walk alone
on a path that isn’t right.
Walk with me, hold my hand
and guide me trough my fright.
Tell me that you need me.
Tell me that you’ll never let go.
Tell me that you love me
Tell me that I make you whole.
Just step up to the plate and
be a man because
no matter what,
I’ll always hold your hand.
