I Wonder
by Elizabeth Ann Mason
So many times I sit and wonder
If true love there can be
Seems I've looked for it so long now
But its not looking back for me
So many days spent lonely
With no love by my side
Leaves a girl's poor heart breakin'
Leaves such an emptiness inside
Seems there's lovin' all around me
For everyone but me
As I watch their love unfolding
I can't help but shed sad tears
Tears of the lost and lonely
Wishing love wouldn't pass me by
My heart will keep on searching
I know that I must try
For to live my life alone now
Would be worse than if I'd died
I need someone to love now
Someone to love me too
Seems so little to ask for
Why can't my dream come true?
