| My Angel |

An angel was sent to me
from heaven high above
The angel told me softly
all he wanted was my love.
I looked him in his eyes
and slowly began to melt
For the first time in life
I had a feeling I never felt.
He gently touched my face
as he kissed me on my lips
My life flashed very quickly
through my mind in many clips.
Visions of bearing his children
thoughts of marriage and such
I wanted him to know right then
I loved him very much.
The angel bowed his head
and whispered in my ear
"I want you to love only me
forever and a year."
I smiled as he told me
a tear ran down my face
I knew just at that moment
No other could take his place.
Since that time we've dated
and each new day that's past
I love him more and more
and I pray for it to last.
I thank the Lord each night
for this angel from above
Who swept me off my feet
and showed me the meaning of love. |
