I could see it in your eyes
You didn’t want to say goodbye
But it’s something you have to do
So you could go on with your life.
How do you say goodbye to someone so dear
Goodbye were the word’s that I didn't want to hear
I sit here tears held back drawn aside
Promising myself to never let you see me cry.
Pausing for a moment hoping time would freeze
Every second a blessing,
But now it’s time for you to leave
You turn to me and give me a kiss Goodbye
I never kissed back hoping every thing was a lie.
I stand here watching as your car disappear
I yell “COME BACK”
Hoping you would hear
I just wanted you to know that the love I have for you is real
I will never let it go.
For this is how I really feel
Now I will hold it back until I die
I just want to let you know that one thing I will never say is "GOODBYE." |
