How Could You?
by Kerri
How could you do this to me
not once, but yet again
How could you say the words
that our love has to end?

You told me that you loved me
and I should never doubt
but with a few simple words
you've ripped my heart completely out

I suppose I'll get over this
and go on with my life
and do what I should've done
let you go and love your wife

If sometimes I should see you
if you pass me on the street
don't look at me or say a word
it would hurt too much to speak

I don't know that you feel anything
or if you even care about me
but I'm moving on from this pain
because WE were never meant to be.
