Silent Death
by Guadalupe L. Arreguin
I placed his head on my shoulder,
and his arm on my hand
his elbow hanging down I tried to bend,
with no intention to be opened,
one day he will wake up, I had always been hoping……

he wouldn’t open his mouth for the need to talk,
his back had been in pain and he could not walk,
I placed him on the bed and went out to the lawn,
coming back he looked abnormal,
for two hours his spirit had been gone…….

I checked his pulse while on the bed,
and there was nothing I could have said,
his spirit flew and past away
the angels came and led his way………..

I placed my lips next to his face,
and carefully pressing I gave him a kiss,
the love of my life forever he’ll be,
there was to be many of our times I was going to miss………
