So long ago, in a long lost heart...
by ashitaka
And what a beautiful world it would have been,
where the soul would have been free.
And what a beautiful life it could have been,
if only a fool hadn't been so obstinate.
And what a wonderful world it should have been,
but the blind man spoke, blind with pride.
And what a happy life it was, and how long it should have lasted,
if only a fallen could have been reasoned.

Where did the days go, so sunny and bright,
where is my blackened soul, once so free and light.
So long ago was that.
That bench must be there no more, I still remember once,
my asylom was still there, under the sun so bright,
the face of Love looking down upon me, with soft delight.
So long ago was that.
But the rain, the rain so cold and frightening,
why do I miss it so.
The rain long gone- now I miss that ,too.
Why does the Sun shine no more,
why does the rain not come,
why is the winter eternal,
why is the summer gone,
the summer so sunny, so joyous and fun-
So long ago was that.
