Sometimes You Can't Forget |
by Marie Joe |
Forget his words, forget his face.
Forget his touch and warm embrace.
Forget the times that went so fast.
Forget the pain that will always last.
Forget the love you once shared.
Forget how much he really cared.
Forget when he made you cry all night.
Forget when he held you close and tight.
Forget his lips, forget his eyes.
Forget that his words were sometimes lies.
Forget when he said that he loved you.
Forget how he seemed so perfect and true.
Forget how he gently held your hand.
Forget the nights you spent with him in the sand.
Forget how his kiss felt upon your lips.
Forget how his presence made your heart skip.
Forget his laugh, forget his smile.
Forget when he was worth your while.
Forget those talks and how he listened.
Forget how much you really miss him.
Forget it when they play your song.
Forget when he told you he was sorry and wrong.
Forget the arguments, forget the fights.
Forget you thought he was heaven's light.
Forget he promised it was meant to be.
Forget how he made you feel young and free.
Forget how you two would slowly dance.
Forget the day you took that chance.
You can't forget, even though you try.
Why is it so hard to just say goodbye? |
