You are Here: Home > Love Poems > Lost Love > if you had given me that dance

if you had given me that dance
by Savannah
We’ve never danced
We’ve never hugged
We’ve never loved
We’ve never touched

I’ve wanted to
You’ve never thought
Now both of us will it haunt

We could have
But you didn’t
I cried so long
To that limit

They wanted us to
Tried to convince you
But nothing did work

My friends
Your friends
Talked to you
Never did the task follow through

They told me what you said
The words they fill my head

Now we will never know what would have happened
If you had gave me a chance
And had that dance
