I sit here alone and the tears they fall,
as I close my eyes and picture it all,
all those nights we lay awake,
all those plans for the future we made...
The best times were those endless nights,
when we stayed up for hours,
just chatting about life,
lying there having a laugh together,
I could've stayed in your arms forever...
So let me lay back in these precious arms,
where I'm always kept safe from hurt and harm,
those moments shared, amazing times had,
all in our hearts, yet all in the past...
I know in my heart we're meant to be,
and one day Elijah, I promise you'll see,
I know you'll always be there to protect me,
but promise me this...
You'll never forget me...
