We're Just A Memory |
by Jeff Roher |
I cant get you out of my head
No matter how hard i try
My life is wasting away
The world is passing me by.
I wont live my life like this anymore
You are no longer in my heart
I have slammed that door.
It took me a long time to see
You and me, we're just a memory.
As i look back through my past
My girls, how did they grow so fast
They came into the world
Looking for love and thirsting for knowledge
Next thing you know
They will be headed to college
They are the most important people to me
You and me, we're just a memory.
It's not how we lived
As a husband and a wife
Its how we moved on
And lived the rest of our life
You have moved on
I will do the same
Learning that life
Is more than just a game
As we stand at heavens gate
We will look back on life and see
You and me, we're more than just a memory.
