											| You Believed In Me | | by Laura | | I could tell you were a ladies man right from the start Flirting with all the women and leaving a trail of broken hearts
But you saw something in me that no one else could see
You gave me the hope I needed and I started to believe

That I was a beautiful woman with a bright future
My self-confidence was building for I was shown there is no reason to be insecure
I started to forget about all the bad things that had happened in the past
Never before knowing the healing process could move along this fast

Now that I no longer doubt myself I want to experience everything I never thought I would
Looking at life with a new positive attitude I will no longer say never because I know I could
Who knows when you will be a one-woman man?
And when our relationship first started there was no big plan

Just because I may not be the right woman for you doesn’t mean that I will not find the perfect man for myself
That is why it is almost painless for me to see you with somebody else
There will always be a picture of us on my dresser that is framed
A new friend for life I am happy to claim for in you that is what I have gained.
