											| Let Go | | by Melissa Sailor | | I'm watching your world crumble from on the outside. Reality's nipping your heels & you cannot hide.
You're losing grip of what you once had together.
Friends are a disappointment when proven fair-weather.
I want you to be safe...you've got to let it go.
The consequences are: YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW.
What makes you happy? That is the question.
Where is the beginning of your strife & tension?
It's hard to comprehend when so close to the fire,
The heat & warmth you feel is from walking that wire.
Let go of that stigma & the people you should avoid.
Let go of the emptiness that won't fill that void.
Remember the real & truly good things in life,
Hold them close to your heart & let go of the strife.
You've got to walk tall & hear your own voice.
Before someone else decides to make your choice.
I'm not trying to lecture you & I don't like to preach.
But rock bottom's a place you never want to reach .
