When we first met,
It didn’t mean much
Never thought my life
Would change as much
A thoughtful man
Who knew it all
He wasn’t the aloof
Whom at first I saw
He looks good
With well-cut hair
Shy and reserved
But simply debonair
He works 24/7
Has a heart of gold
Enjoys helping
With stories untold
I learnt from him
More than I would
Renewed my mind
More than I should
I learnt about life
About friendship and pain
And it is through him
I found myself again
I now have the zest
A passion to succeed
I now know the difference
Between want and need
Filled with conviction
In all he wrote
With his words
My heart he took
A football fanatic
A scaredy cat
This silly boy
Whom I care
Jerry Maguire? He is not
But with his truthfulness
He had me at hello |
