On losing you
by Saikumar
I wake up in the morning; I am lying on my books,
My throat is dry and thirsty, I have a lost look

I struggle out of bed; the flooring seems so cold,
I ran into something, a fever now I hold

Clinging to the past, a future I don’t hold
My mom keeps on shouting; my dad gives me a scold

I care for none or others, my family, my friends,
I have no care for myself; I’m not in sync with trends

I remain all day shabby, neither work nor go to meet,
I have lost my taste buds, little that is I eat

I have lost a considerable weight; I have become worse than weak,
Sometimes I change into anything I bought last 100th week

I’ve grown a moustache, Shapeless but it is
That grows above my heavy beard, shapeless indeed!

I wake up in the morning; I am lying on my books,
My throat is dry and thirsty, I have a lost look
Ever since you’ve gone
