DREAMING US |
by Mike Gangi |
So let's roll you and I
And spread a blanket on that October sky
We'll spend a restless night in a cheap motel room
Your eyes
You fix them on me and I assume
That the music I'm hearing
Is coming from the other room
I can see all the stars out there
I wonder if we dare
Do we dare fall asleep?
I know that somewhere out there is a dream
Dreaming Us
I know that soon we will receive
Our night of Ecstasy
So let's roll you and I
Through plates of berries and expensive red wine
The night can hold our love
In the arms of its moon
The sheets, unmoved while they hold you
Still this heat could melt this room
Off the shore the waves still break
Relentless crashing until we wake
And I know we both
Don't want to.
I know that somewhere out there is a dream
Dreaming Us
I know that soon we will receive
Our night of Ecstasy
I know that soon you will see
That you were meant for:
ME.
