This is the hardest thing I've ever had to do
To walk away still loving you
When the door closed
A new page was turned
I was on my own
A hard lesson learned
How do I make it?
You are all I know
I have to take this road one step at a time
Forgetting all the memories along the way
But occasionally I fall behind
I remember your silly smile
The smell of your skin
I remember the good times
And here I go again
