When you love some one
by Kyle Durigan
When you love someone it seems the world is calm,
You feel so powerful that you can hold it all in your palm.
Whenever you go out any where you see things anew,
Like bliss in the air, you seem never blue.

You want to keep it a secret yet tell everyone at the same time,
But if you do, you?ll be scared as if you committed some kind of crime.
Walking though the halls from class to class, people looking at you as if they want to kick your ass,
But then you think, HEY, it is because they are the ones on grass.

You see them every day, they least expect you,
You?re good friends and getting closer, they have no clue.
Finally they find out,
And it feels as if there is some kind of drought.

They look at you with a shine in their eye,
And smile as if in denial and about to cry.
In the end it all works out,
And now there is never a reason to pout.

It has been three months and still going,
They talk all the time and things just keep flowing.
So much joy is made from hugs and kisses,
There is so much love and no room for disses.

You lay in bed thinking every night,
Just how great it would be if you could hold her tight.
There is nothing that can come between their love,
Both families are now joined and are symbolized by a white dove.

The years go past and they build with bricks,
They finish and watch the twins as they hit six.
You sit by yourself watching the sun set,
Her grave devastates you and your heart sinks into a horrible debt.
