Months have passed, time has gone
But it's still you for who I long
Simple things bring the thought of you back to me
A favorite song brings back your smiling face
The touch of another feels like your embrace
I know that things can't be
I wish that I could see things worked out in a better way
I think of you everyday although we are miles apart
Sadly I know, this way we must stay
It hurts to bad to think you have moved on
I know we'll always be friends
Possibly for the rest of our life
But seeing you daily or with someone else
Would tear me apart inside
I know it's something I need to face
Moving on and looking forward
But I find myself constantly glancing back
Part of my heart is stuck with you
And I haven't planned on asking for it back |
