Moon-Lit Fair Tale |
by Kelsi |
Ever since that first kiss
You were the one I would always miss
Standing there beside me
Trying to find a new way to guide me
Throughout the years I was in the shadows
Searching for someone's hand to follow
You looked deep within my eyes
Burning my soul
Lifting me into the skies
You held me close
With tenderness you capture me
Shifting my life in a whole new way
Turning the odd-ends back in
You make me quiver with each touch
Sending another butterfly into my world
You make me light-headed
Cuz of your promise that you've embedded
Into my mind & onto my heart
You'll never let me fall apart
Because you won't drop this porcelain figurine
As I walk towards the silhouette in the meadow
My breathing turns shallow
Your eyes gleaming at me
As you're on one knee
I'm sent into a world unknown to me
You take my hand & say so gracefully
"Will you marry me someday?"
I look at you with tears streaming down my face
As you stroke my hand
I fall into your chest
To say how much you mean to me
You lift me back up
& capture the moon in your eyes
Holding onto my face
& taking hold of my waist
You look at me & smile
Running your fingers through my hair
We carried on through the night
With nothing but our air
