The Day We Met
by Shelby
Sitting there waiting for everything to start,
Not knowing you would be taking my heart.
With all the sound in the barn,
My words unrolling like a ball of yarn.
You sit by me and we start to talk,
The judging starts and I start to walk.
Running out of time not knowing what to do,
"Meet me by the zipper" you said,
"So i can ride with you."
I come back all dressed up,
Not knowing she was going to be getting dumped.
You tell her its not working out and that we should go our own ways,
Who'd know we'd be going out in just a few days.
Hanging out day and night,
Outside just holding me tight.
Thinking what would happen if we never met,
I would never feel like I'm caught up in this net.
