A Dream Kiss
by Kristi
Standing before you, heart in my hands, my hands at my side, I look gently into your eyes. We are but a breath apart from each other and I can smell your scent as it gently wafts up to my senses. Closing my eyes for just the barest of minutes, I can feel your body and soul wrap around me without even a touch.

Slowly, my hands reach up to your arms and slide carefully over your strong, yet gentle flesh. Goosebumps race up and down my spine at this…our first touch. It's warm outside, but it has nothing to do with the heat that blazes a trail beneath the touch of my hands. Up to your shoulders, I reach and, as I climb the strong peaks of your broad shoulders, I open my eyes to find you gazing tenderly into my face. You smile slowly, not a wide smile, but of one filled with promises to be kept. I find myself smiling back despite any lingering nervousness and my hand reaches outward to touch your jaw line.

Cupping it softly, I feel an increase in pressure as you lean into my hand. There's a strength there that belies your gentle smile. Carefully, I pull your face down closer to mine. You lean in almost eagerly, yet slowly, as though are trying not to frighten off a young doe. My other hand joins its counterpart in holding your face tenderly. Eyes still open, I watch as your mouth descends toward mine. My heart catches on a breath as I realize that this is it. Any second now, I will know how you taste. Briefly, our lips brush, a whispered hint of a touch like a butterfly’s caress. I pull back slightly looking into your eyes and there, you see a glimpse of the devil that hides beneath my heart. I smile a little and lean back toward your lips. Then, I gently and oh so softly trace your upper lip with the warm wet tip of my tongue. You're not expecting this and I hear your breath catch as your chest stills. I run my tongue, just the tip, around the fullness of your upper lip, curving around the corner and tracing along your lower lip. You taste wonderful; a hint of maleness and a musky scent from your aftershave.

I hear a slight groan and realize with a slight startle that it has just come forth from my own throat.....my tongue delves a little deeper and runs across the pearl smoothness of your teeth. And there, between my teeth I gently nip down on your lower lip. Instantly, I release it and suckle it between my lips, kissing away any traces of sharpness from my nip. I stroke the silky inner lining of your lower lip, then up again to do the same to your upper lip.

You're still content to play the part of the willing victim and you allow me to explore the warm wet recess of your mouth to all to my heart's content. My tongue presses deeper and dances a loving duel with yours, running it around your tongue, dipping it down to glide between your bottom teeth and lip and back to the inner reaches of heaven. Our lips brush against each other as my hands pull your head closer and I press my body tightly to yours. Our hips meld into one set, our hearts beat in rhythm, our tongues twirl and side step each others like graceful ballroom dancers. I open my eyes and find you looking into mine. My heart skips a beat as I see joy and passion flare within your eyes and you hear my breath gasp and catch. I know what your body desires and I know it is me. I no longer hear the birds flitting from tree to tree; I no longer hear any of the sounds of nature, save for the quickening of our breath and low deep moans. Slowly, my eyes close again, savoring your taste like a fine wine, sweeter, richer, and deeper in taste.

My hands glide down from your face, over your shoulders and around to the hard smoothness of your back. Tight and muscular, you hold a strength that might frighten some, but for me, I know of your gentleness and I am not afraid. I deepen our kiss. Hungrily, I dance my tongue against yours. One minute the aggressor, the next accepting your passions just as willingly. Your hands slip around my waist and I feel you tug at me, pulling me closer, pressing your hips tighter to mine. I feel your arousal and respond by lifting one leg to wrap it around yours. You excite me like no one ever has. I need you so desperately, not like the need for air, but like a dying man needs a second chance. My hand moves quickly to the back of your head and I pull your mouth to mine as close as I can get you. You respond by deepening your tongue to mine and I am lost in your taste.

Slowly, ever so slowly, the kiss softens, our breathing deepens, and our grasp lessens. I pull back and look into your eyes once again. I see a reflection there that my heart recognizes. Never have I heard the stars above explode; never have I heard the stormless thunder, but with you, with this kiss, I have. I see in your eyes the wonder I feel, the fear of losing myself totally to someone I barely know, to someone I've known all my life.

Together we share a small breathless laugh. You run your hand through your hair and I look away, confused, joyful, and full of passion and doubt. Did we REALLY just share that kiss? Did the Heavens really open up and did the stars really explode in the sky all because of the kiss that we just shared? Maybe we need to try kissing again, you know, just to be sure it wasn't a fluke?

You hold out your arms to me, I move into your embrace and slowly our lips move toward each others........for one more try, one more kiss, one more slice of heaven.
