My Hero
by Losing Faith
I look back, through all the years
When I would turn away, and close my ears
To the heartfelt words you always had
It was then they made me mad

I was told to do this
I was told to do that

Who knew back then, that those words
Would have such meaning today

You have my word Mom
That those words stuck in my head

I may not have shown it back then
But trust me, when I say

I listen now
I hear you now,

Saying those words of guidance, and love
Both you and Dad
Mom, I love you
You are my hero, you are my strength

I think of you, and know
That you will always be there for me

For you Mom, on your special day
Remember this, I to will be your strength

Happy Birthday Mom, I love you

For my Mom on her birthday, who has always been there for me, she is my hero, always and forever.
