Best Friends or Enemies |
by Amy R. Dubuque |
Will you walk beside me
Or pretend you were never here
Will you hold on to me forever
Or turn and run in fear
Open my blind eyes
Help me feel again
Hold me here with you
And hold my love within
I think you made your choice
And I wasn’t the lucky one
So now I guess I must try
To say goodbye and finally be done
Take your knife out of my back
Or should I stay and give it a twist
I pretended to be dumb and gullible
But there wasn’t a thing I missed.
Wake me from this nightmare
Tell me its just a dream
I hope this isn’t reality
And as evil as it all seems
Are we best friends or enemies
I don’t know the difference now
When nothing is as it seems
I keep wondering why and how
