I Saw Love
by PAUL HEWSON
your wedding vowels have all been lost
maybe you said them with your fingers crossed
you were there ,as pretty as a picture
you reeled me in , hook , line and sinker

There you stood , and you held my heart
you held my hand but tore my world apart
your wedding vowels were spoken with lies
yet i saw love when i looked in your eyes

Your bueaty is only skin deep
you make my skin crawl
you make my skin creep
your so damn hollow
empty and shallow
with no remorse
and no real sorrow
