A letter
by Andrew Jones II
Just as those songs are played
Those old ones sounded better
Thinking of those times past
As I try to write this letter.

My words came easy back then
I’ve tried many times to write
How should I title my letter
“The Way I Feel Tonight”.

How do feelings go on a page
On paper how can you see
Should I dab cologne on here
The type that’s worn by me.

To write of intimate promises
All five senses coming through
Should I seal it with sweet lips
Taste the love I’m sending you.

Having the smell of my cologne
Into the envelope my letter slips
Hope you sense on this paper
Loving feelings of my sweet lips.

For all of my senses came alive
Hoping when opened to view
Of all my feelings into a letter
All sent from my heart to you.
