All i wanted was your gentle touch
was i asking too much?
I remember when our relationship was at dusk
I thought ud never go away
I thought we were at bay
When i asked you to stay
You said ok
When time passed the light faded into twilight
You were no longer my everylasting light
You would never again hold me tight
And our memories faded into the night
Nothing but Despair
I thought you really cared
The pain was so much more than i could bear
I didnt let go
I took things very slow
I wanted you to look at me and said i glow
I kept your picture in my hands
Even though i tried to store the memories away in a can
Sometimes it was too hard to stand |
